Bill Clinton


Bill Clinton was the 42nd president of the United States. He was one of the most popular presidents of all time. He stayed in office for eight years from 1993 to 2001. He was a moderate democrat and was at the time the first democratic president to be elected in 12 years. While in the white house he fought many accusations of sex scandals and drug use, and became the second president to face impeachment.

BIll Clinton was born on August 19, 1946, shortly after WWII. He was born in Hope, Arkansas. He was born William Jefferson Blythe IV after his father who was a traveling salesman who died shorly after his birth in a car accident. He changed his name to William Jefferson Clinton after his mother remarried. He spent most of his schooling in Hot Springs, Arkansas, and later went on to Georgetown University for College where he majored in international relations.

Bill Clinton was one of the most popular presidents, in U.S. history. During his time in office, the economy was booming, and he had a well balanced budget plan. He also made a great effort to end international racial discrimination. He tried to help better education systems, reduce handgun sales, and tried to strengthen environmental rules. Although he enjoyed a great deal of popularity, he was also the second president to face and impeachment trial, due to a sex scandal in the White House.

Scandal In The White House


In 1998 Clinton was accused of being in a sex scandal with a young White House intern. At first he denied that this had happened, then admitted to doing it. He was then put on trial by the Senate for lying under oath, and partaking in an inappropriate relationship. He was proven not guilty, and he apologized to the whole nation for his actions. In spite of this he finished out his presidency with great popularity.

Bill Clinton continues to be an active figure in the world today. He sponsors and raises money for many organizations and issues, including fighting against AIDS, and protecting our environment. In 2008 he supported his wife Hilary Clinton on her campaign for president.

Bill Clinton was a very good president. He knew what he was doing and was very well received. In the end, Bill Clinton was one of the most popular presidents in the history of America. In spite of his innapropriate relationship in the white house, he led this county to one of the best economic times in history and prevailed in many ways during his time in office.
